Μια ήρεμη έκκλησηΔεν γνωρίζουμε πού βρίσκεται.
Ελπίζουμε μόνο ότι σώζεται.Ζητούμε διάλογο.
Ζητούμε τη δυνατότητα επιστροφής ενός τμήματος της ιστορίας μας.
Γιατί για εμάς δεν είναι απλώς ένα έργο τέχνης.
Είναι ο «Γέροντας».
Και, όπως έλεγαν οι παλαιοί:
«Έχει το νου του ο Γέροντας
English Notice
The original icon of Saint Niketas from the coastal village of Agios Nikitas (Lefkada, Greece), dating most likely to the mid-18th century and depicting the Saint as an elderly bishop, disappeared from the parish church during the years 1946–1947. Its current whereabouts remain unknown. This icon is of deep historical and spiritual significance to the local community. Should the work survive in a private or public collection—possibly under a different attribution—we kindly invite any information that might assist in identifying and documenting it. Our intention is not confrontation, but scholarly dialogue and, if possible, the restoration of a missing chapter of the village’s cultural heritage.
